Hildegarde was elected to Dáil Éireann in February 2016. She is Chairperson of the Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Climate Action and the Environment. Hildegarde is the only TD from Connaught to serve on the Oireachtas Committee on the Future of Healthcare.
