• Unemployment has more than halved since Fine Gael entered office in 2011 from 15.2% to 6.3%

• For the first time the Treatment Benefit Scheme is extended to self-employed people and their dependent spouses
• More social insurance benefits are extended to the self-employed and entrepreneurs, including free dental and optical check-ups and a 50% grant for hearing aids
